A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE WRAPAROUND PROCESS IN CANADA So, what is Wraparound? At it’s simplest, the Wraparound process is a person/family driven, team based planning model that develops an individualized plan that uses the strengths of the person/family and team members to develop strategies that effectively address the person’s/family’s needs on a day to day basis.
Andrew Debicki, B.A., B.S.W., M.S.W., is the Regional Wraparound Coordinator for Hamilton and Brantford, Ontario. Debicki states the challenge we are facing is that unless we do something dramatically different over the next 3-5 years we are probably going to leave behind that 20% of society that is struggling to deal with multiple, complex problems and their resulting needs that go beyond what the service system can provide or address.
